New photos of Horace discovered

The lost is found

Today a mystery was solved. I originally found this unnamed, undated family portrait in one of the boxes of Horace Farquhar's photographs and photo negatives collection. It had no names on the original photo. And today April 26th Peggy Farquhar found this photo on the Find a Grave site she remembered the lady with the pasted overhead!

And mentioned, “Its likely “Hod” Horace who took the photo as "Old Allen’s wife was related to these people and loved to go to their reunions. Check it out. I’m having such great fun making matches!"
The mission of this blog is to get old treasured family photos preserved and in the hands of the family. And when names are discovered its exciting.

Faces In History

These are more of Horace Farquhar’s unnamed photo collection. But I was able to indemnify the couple on the far right as Charles and Elsie (Wolfe) Stewart. Else was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Wolfe, and this photo was most likely taken around Osceola, Nebraska where the family lived. Uncle Horace often came to town to visit and worked about the photography shop in town.

Most of these were most likely taken in Perryopolis Fayette City, and surround cities in Pennsylvania.
